Calvary Cub Scout Pack 208

The uniform is an important part of the cub scout experience.  It will give your son a sense of belonging to our pack, it will help him to take pride in his appearance and give him a place to proudly wear the awards that he will earn.   

The full cub scout uniform costs $85 and the most expensive pieces can be worn for all five years of cub scouts.   Please don’t be discouraged by the cost of scouting.   If the cost of the uniform is unaffordable for you check our uniform bank or follow this advice. 

The Class A shirt is the “must have” part of the uniform and should be worn to every meeting.  There will be exceptions for sporting events where you will be directed to wear the Class B t-shirt.  You will be given a class B t-shirt in the month of October and the cost has been included in the annual dues.   

It is not necessary to have the official BSA shorts as a pair of dark blue shorts can be worn in place of the official scout uniform.  The pack tries to pass down hats and neckerchiefs thru the uniform bank although there is always a shortage of hats.    Please consider donating when your son moves to the next rank.   

Some families choose to buy the boy scout uniform (olive green) when their son reaches Webelos.  This is acceptable but not required.  I recommend waiting for your son to outgrow his first cub scout uniform before buying the boy scout uniform.
