About Cub Scouting:
Cub Scouting provides for boys an effective educational program designed to build desirable qualities of character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Mighty serious business all done in the spirit of fun!
It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in first grade through fifth grade (ages 7 – 10). Parents, Leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the following:
* Influence the development of character and encourage spiritual growth.
* Help boys develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship.
* Encourage good sportsmanship and pride in growing strong in mind and body.
* Improve understanding with the family.
* Strengthen their ability to get along with other boys and respect other people.
* Foster a sense of personal achievement by helping the boys develop new interests and skills.
* Show them how to be helpful and do one’s best.
Provide fun and exciting activities.
* Prepare them to become Boy Scouts.

Here at Calvary Chapel we place the strongest emphases on the first goal of Cub Scouting which is to influence the development of character and encourage spiritual growth. The leadership of Calvary Chapel Cub Scouts desires to provide a biblical, Christ-centered environment where children may flourish and develop as God intends. By coming alongside the Christian families, Cub Scouts can help instruct boys in the development of godly character within their families, churches, schools, and communities.
In addition, Calvary Chapel Cub Scouts tries to not only minister to young boys but also to their entire family in providing small groups in the middle of a big church. Cub Scouts is a setting in which you are taken from being a mere spectator to getting connected to and involved with other Christians with similar interest (being parents of young boys). It is where friendships can be forged through fellowship.
